About The Role

  • Conduct inspections and perform maintenance tasks on playgrounds.
  • Complete thorough surveys to accurately assess the scope of work needed for pricing and ensure repairs are done correctly the first time.
  • Execute maintenance duties such as excavating and replacing rotten posts, replacing deteriorated above-ground timbers, and replacing bolt caps and other components.
  • Prioritise timely servicing of all clients.
  • Perform repairs on safety surfacing materials, including rubber mulch and wet pour, to meet high-quality standards.
  • Adhere to on-site health and safety protocols and quality control measures.
  • Execute maintenance and repairs on outdoor play equipment, ramps, Multi-Use Games Areas (MUGAs), fitness equipment, safety surfacing, and associated landscaping.
  • Undertake soft and hard landscaping tasks as needed, including fencing installations.
  • Utilise hand or power tools as necessary to complete tasks.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to current and prospective clients.
  • Fulfil any additional responsibilities assigned by the line manager.

 

About the successful candidate

  • Possession of a valid clean driver’s licence is essential as a Company Van will be provided.
  • While not essential, holding a CSCS card would be beneficial.
  • A satisfactory DBS clearance is required.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of playground equipment is preferred, although not essential.
  • Experience in the installation of safety surfacing materials such as grass mats, bonded rubber mulch, loose fill, and wetpour is preferred but not essential.
  • Holding an RPII Operational Inspector qualification would be advantageous.
  • Proficiency in operating powered hand tools is preferred.
  • Responsible for preparing survey reports and conducting quality checks for review, with submission back to the office.
  • Effective communication skills are necessary for interactions with customers, colleagues, and suppliers.
  • Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and good judgment are essential qualities.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across all levels are required.

Salary: Basic up to £32k depending on experience

Hours: Mon-Fri, 8.30am-4.30pm, however flexibility needed to travel to different sites
