Nursery Setting – Good Manors

Project Overview

Good Manors Nursery was established in 1998 and compromises of three private children’s day nurseries, offering and providing quality care and education. Good Manors vision is to provide excellent service to the children and their families and make a positive difference to their lives.

Good Manors were looking for an experienced contractor to renovate their old, tired, but substantial outdoor space. The Timotay Playground Consultants met with Good Manors to understand the settings objectives and vision, which was then transformed into a design.

The Outcome

Our award-winning design team brought Good Manors vision to life, with the following included in the installation within their outdoor playspace/ playground

Elements included:

  • Outdoor learning pod/ role play
  • Outdoor learning scales
  • Sandwall/ sand play
  • Musical items
  • Waterwall
  • Nature area
  • New surfacing
  • New fencing

Testimonial

The team from Timotay came to visit the setting and immediately understood the brief that we gave them, and created an amazing new outdoor play space for our children to explore and enjoy! The new elements that the team introduced into the plan went well beyond what we originally envisaged and showed us the true potential of our outdoor space. Although our site was a tricky one to negotiate being within a conservation area and in the grounds of a grade 2 listed building, this was not a problem, and their expertise and experience allowed us to secure planning without objection and see the site transformed accordingly. The team who did the landscaping and installation were hard-working, skilled, and sympathetic to working within and around a busy nursery environment, and managed to complete the project two weeks early, despite the bad weather!
