Featherstone Primary School
Project Overview
Once upon a time… There was an unused, overgrown piece of land tucked in a disused corner of a school in Birmingham. This school is called Featherstone Primary School and is set in a magical place called Erdington. We were introduced to the area by the Headteacher and asked to create an outdoor classroom, to which we suggested using the existing slope of the land in a more imaginative way. Being a forward-thinking Head he was very keen to see what we could come up with.
The Outcome
So the plans were drawn up and presented and the Head and school loved the idea. Timotay helped out with the planning process, providing drawings and expertise to get the project built. Following completion of the construction work the children instantly took to the area, letting their imaginations run free. The Headteacher is very pleased, telling Timotay that the mood across the whole school has been lifted.
