Consult

We can arrange a consultation to meet with you and discuss all your nursery or school playground requirements. One of our experienced design team will come to see you and the project site, take on board all of your ideas, be able to give advice and make suggestions, and to undertake a detailed site survey. We know that it is important to focus on educational and physical play needs, and to sympathetically assess the site to be able to create a stimulating play environment. We work closely and in collaboration with our customers to achieve the best possible result for the playground. The brief that you give us may include ideas from parents, a wish list from children, as well as focusing on specific areas of the curriculum, or aiming to meet EYFS/Ofsted targets.

Design

Taking your brief and our free thinking, your designer will set about creating the best possible solution supported by all the visual imagery that you will require, including a scale plan of the area and 3D visualisations if necessary. Our design service will create an individual playground design based on the natural setting and the scope of the playground area, and using our professional expertise to arrive at a unique possibility for a new play garden. We will make recommendations such as safety surfacing, special play equipment, materials for structures and canopies; these will be based on your brief and of course are subject to further discussion. Whatever challenges the site presents, and the complexity of the brief, for example DDA requirements or special needs or any other requisites, our knowledgeable design team will come up with a unique solution for your playground.

Order

When you place an order with us it is essential that you know what it is that you are purchasing. As part of the design service Timotay provide a detailed specification and quotation (e.g. showing safety surfacing or all-year synthetic grass), based on your design. The quotation enables you to apportion costs, select individual play items and tailor the project to your funding resources. It is also possible to view the project on a short term and/or long term basis and realistically plan the playground for the future.

Construct

Following the pre-project meeting one of our experienced landscaping teams will implement the design. Managing site safety for your children, parents and staff we work to the most stringent health and safety guidelines enabling you to relax as the dedicated site foreman and project coordinator oversee the progress. We have an excellent reputation in constructing playgrounds and renovating play spaces and we are happy to arrange visits to completed projects so that you can evaluate our work and see the high standard to which we work. Attention to detail is paramount when constructing playgrounds and play equipment for children and our in-house service means that dedicated staff ensure professional site working and management and a quality finish to your playground project. Upon completion of the project a sign off visit is arranged where we discuss and address any issues you may have. This way we make sure you are completely satisfied with your playground and play equipment.

Maintain

We can provide you will all the necessary information you need for the maintenance of the play garden. All playgrounds and play equipment require ongoing maintenance, from regular grass cutting to annual assessing of play structures. We can help you to set up a maintenance programme that is appropriate for your playground, provide an on site maintenance service or help you to set up a professional service to look after the garden. While our products and workmanship are guaranteed all outdoor areas are subject to wear and tear and therefore will need suitable care and maintenance.
