Grove Senior School
Project Overview
The final project in the grand outdoor regeneration scheme for Grove School is now complete! Surveyed in 2010, the project has just had its opening this summer. Being a much larger space that the other stages of the project the school has been allowed the opportunity to include some really impressive play / learning features for the older children in the school.
The Outcome
You can see from the photos that the difference that the development of the garden has made to the children is stunning: from cold, hard tarmac to multi-textured surfacing and engaging play and learning equipment.
We have included the following:
• A Large bespoke play frame with tunnel slide, challenging log climbing features, net tunnels and large zip wires!
• A huge ampthitheatre seating zone for performances and outdoor assemblies.
• An Outdoor Gym.
• An all weather grass sports pitch with Multi-use games goals.
• Multi-coloured rainbow paving patterns.
• A construction dig and building zone.
• A vegetable planting zone.
• A large nature zone with native tree planting, mounds and a dipping pond.
