Children’s Centre – Pen Green

Project Overview

For over 25 years the Pen Green Centre for Children and Families has been providing education and care for children and support for families. It is also a centre of excellence for research, development and training. The Centre recognised the importance of outdoor play for all the age groups and believed that the outdoor play could offer so much more. While benefitting from larger play areas there was little that was inspiring or stimulating.

The Outcome

With much help and practical input from the staff we have created a really exciting outdoor play garden that mirrors the standard of excellence in childcare that the Centre is renowned for. Large scale creative play features set within flowing designed spaces combine to make an outdoor space that all the children at the Centre can enjoy. This play garden provides the children with the opportunity to experience challenges and take risks while playing.
